A mattress is the right answer for a dog that sleeps flat out on its side, and at 100 x 70cm the Large Alpine gives a big dog room to do exactly that without a wall in the way. It is the same thick-cut champagne faux fur used on the Alpine box beds, laid over a deep, evenly filled pad rather than built up into bolsters.

Because there is nothing to unzip, the whole mattress goes in the machine at 30 degrees — simpler than a box bed, provided your drum is big enough for a 100 x 70cm pad. The base is non-slip, which stops a flat bed skating across a kitchen floor when a dog lands on it.

How to Use
  • Lay flat with the non-slip base downwards; it can also be dropped straight into a crate.
  • Gentle machine wash at 30 degrees with a mild detergent — check your drum takes a 100 x 70cm pad.
  • Do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Dry flat.
  • Colour transfer may occur, particularly while the mattress is wet.
  • Keep away from open fires and heaters.
