Scruffs Aztec Dog Food Bowl – Terracotta, 19cm
This is the large Aztec: 19cm across, 8cm deep and 1.6 litres, which is more than three times the capacity of the 15cm dish. That depth suits a big dog properly — a labrador eating from a shallow 5cm bowl pushes food over the rim, and a deep-chested dog drinking from one has to work at it.
The body is heavy stoneware in terracotta orange, patterned in white by wax resist so the geometry survives the dishwasher. At 1.6 litres it is also the practical choice for a water bowl in a household with more than one dog, since it does not need refilling through the day.
<>Performance & Benefits
- 1.6 litre capacity — a full day of water for most dogs, or a large meal.
- 19cm across and 8cm deep, so food stays in the bowl.
- Heavy stoneware that a large dog cannot shunt across the floor.
- Wax resist pattern fired beneath the glaze.
- Glazed, non-porous and easy to get properly clean.
- Dishwasher and microwave safe.
Suitable For
- Large breeds — labradors, retrievers, german shepherds, boxers.
- Multi-dog households sharing a water bowl.
- Deep-chested dogs that need depth rather than width.
- Dogs that eat fast and scatter food from a shallow dish.
- Far too big for a cat or a toy breed — the Scruffs Amalfi Stripe Food Bowl – Red 13cm is a better fit there.
How to Use
- Place on a level floor; a placemat underneath catches the splash from a 1.6 litre water bowl.
- Refill water daily and wash the bowl at the same time.
- Wash food bowls after every meal, by hand or in the dishwasher.
- Lift with both hands when full — 1.6 litres of water in stoneware is heavy.
Specification
- 19 x 19 x 8cm. Capacity 1.6 litres.
- Heavy stoneware ceramic with a wax resist Aztec pattern in white.
- Smaller sizes: 13 x 13 x 5cm (0.4 litres) and 15 x 15 x 5cm (0.5 litres).
- Terracotta orange is one of three Aztec colours, with turquoise blue and sunflower yellow.
- Scruffs publish no weight for the bowl, so none is stated here.
