Simple System Lucie Nuts – 20kg

Lucie Nuts are Simple System's most popular feed, and the reason is simple economics: they are 100% pure pelleted lucerne with no binders, no cereals and no molasses, which means every kilo you buy is feed rather than filler. Lucerne — alfalfa, in American usage — is a deep-rooting legume that draws up a genuine wealth of natural minerals, and it carries good levels of quality protein alongside highly digestible fibre.

Fed soaked, the 12mm nuts break down into a soft mash that suits horses with worn or missing teeth as readily as those in hard work. Sugar sits below 7% and starch below 5%, so they provide condition and stamina without the fizz that cereal-based feeds can bring.

Performance & Benefits
  • 100% pure dried lucerne, free from all binders — no cereals, molasses, pulses, soya, preservatives or additives.
  • Naturally high in calcium at 1.39%, supporting bone strength and development.
  • Quality protein at 14–20% supports muscle growth, condition and stamina.
  • Highly digestible fibre at 20–30%, supporting hindgut function.
  • Low sugar (under 7%) and low starch (under 5%) for non-heating, slow-release energy.
  • Soaks to a soft mash, reducing the risk of choke and suiting horses that struggle to chew.
  • Economical — Simple System's most widely used feed for yards running several horses.
