Simple System MeadowBrix – 20kg

MeadowBrix are mature Timothy grass compressed into 1kg blocks, fed whole and dry so the horse works at them head-down, much as it would graze. Of the three Brix, these are the ones Simple System recommend for replacing hay — nutritionally they are the closest match, so swapping hay for MeadowBrix changes the format without changing the diet underneath.

Mature-cut Timothy is naturally low in sugar and high in fibre, and starch sits below 1%. That combination makes them unusually safe to feed generously to a horse that needs occupying but not fattening.

Feeding

• Feed whole and dry. Place at ground level, on the floor or in a feed bucket, in the field or stable.
• One block weighs approximately 1kg.
• Use up to 1 block per 100kg bodyweight daily — up to 5 blocks for a 500kg horse.
• Feed according to requirements and condition.

Composition & Analysis

• Composition: 100% dried Timothy grass. 20kg, supplied as 1kg blocks.
• Crude protein 7–14%. Crude fibre 25–35%. Sugar under 12%. Starch under 1%.
• No vitamins are added; the forage carries them naturally. Seasonal variation occurs and each bag details the batch analysis.

Care & Caution

• Brix require good teeth. Simple System do not recommend them for older or dentally challenged horses — soaked pellets such as HayCare are the better option.
