Skinner's Field & Trial Turkey & Rice with Joint Aid – 2.5kg

Turkey & Rice is one of only two Field & Trial foods made with the Joint Aid for Dogs supplement, and it is the only one of the two that is also free from wheat, maize and barley. That combination — joint support plus a cereal-free base — is the reason to choose it over Maintenance Plus.

Brown rice leads at 40.8% with turkey meat meal at 26%, and the food runs at 24% protein and 11% fat, 353 kcal per 100g. The 2.5kg bag gives a medium dog about a fortnight, which is long enough to see how it settles.

Performance & Benefits
  • Joint Aid for Dogs included, alongside glucosamine at 350mg/kg and chondroitin sulphate at 150mg/kg.
  • Turkey meat meal at 26% — a change of poultry protein from chicken.
  • Brown rice at 40.8%, the highest rice inclusion in the range.
  • 24% crude protein and 11% crude fat, at 353 kcal per 100g.
  • Omega-3 at 1.26% from whole linseed.
  • MOS, FOS, seaweed and yucca included as standard.
<>
Suitable For
  • Adult dogs at moderate work that also need joint support.
  • Dogs sensitive to wheat, maize or barley — none is used.
  • Dogs that must avoid soya, beef or fish protein.
  • Older working dogs still in the field but starting to stiffen.
  • Not suitable for a dog that reacts to poultry of any kind — Field & Trial Lamb & Rice is the alternative, though it carries no Joint Aid.
<>
Feeding
  • Feed dry from the bag or moistened with a little tepid water.
  • Skinner's publish their daily amounts as a bodyweight chart rather than a single figure, so work from the guide printed on the bag and adjust to condition.
  • Do not stack another glucosamine product on top without veterinary advice; the supplement is already in the food.
  • Allow six to eight weeks before judging the joint effect.
  • Change over gradually, mixing an increasing share of the new food with the old across several days.
  • Fresh drinking water at all times.
