Dried seaweed meal, fed in small quantities alongside the daily ration as a natural source of trace minerals. Seaweed concentrates minerals out of seawater — iodine most notably, alongside a broad spread of other trace elements — which is why coastal smallholders have fed it to stock for generations.

It is a supplement rather than a feed: a scattering into the feeder, not a meal. The 500g pack suits a back garden flock, where a fortified layers ration already covers the basics and the seaweed is there to top up the trace element side of the diet.
