Woof Wear Competition Riding Socks – Damson, Medium
These are the socks made for long boots. The knit is deliberately slim and smooth so the fibres do not catch in a boot zip, which is the single most common way a good pair of socks is ruined, and the heel and toe carry bamboo padding for the parts of the foot a stiff competition boot presses on.
Bamboo yarn is the reason they stay fresh: it moves moisture away from the skin and is naturally antibacterial, so a full day at a show does not end with damp feet. Supplied two pairs to a pack in medium, in damson.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Slim, snag-free knit that runs cleanly past a long boot zip.
- Bamboo padding at the heel and toe, the two pressure points in a competition boot.
- Breathable and naturally antibacterial, so feet stay fresher through a long day.
- Moisture-wicking, which matters more than thickness inside a leather boot.
- Two pairs per pack.
Suitable For
- Long competition and riding boots, where bulk is the enemy.
- Show days, dressage tests and cross country phases.
- Everyday schooling in long boots or gaiters.
- Riders who find thicker socks make a fitted boot tight over the instep.
- Too slim to be a warm winter yard sock — the Woof Wear Long Bamboo Waffle Socks are the thicker, cushioned option for that.
How to Use
- Pull the sock smooth up the calf before zipping a long boot, with no fold under the zip.
- Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle spin with non-biological detergent.
- Do not tumble dry and keep them out of strong sunlight; both shorten the life of the elastane.
- Wash the pair together so they wear and fade at the same rate.
