Woof Wear Gel Fusion Riding Whip – Electric Blue, 60cm

The Gel Fusion is Woof Wear's everyday riding whip, 60cm overall including the real leather flapper, and Electric Blue is the loudest of the plain colourways — a saturated mid-blue that reads clearly against a dark jacket or a bay coat.

What sells it is the handle. The translucent TPR gel grip has enough give to stay put under a damp glove, which is the point at which a hard plastic handle starts to rotate in the hand. The fibreglass shaft is flexible rather than whippy, so a small wrist movement reaches the flapper without the whole whip bouncing.

Performance & Benefits
  • 60cm overall length, measured by Woof Wear to include the real leather flapper.
  • Translucent TPR gel handle — the grippiest handle Woof Wear put on a whip, and it holds through a damp glove.
  • Flexible fibreglass shaft, so a small wrist movement reaches the flapper without the whole whip bouncing.
  • Genuine leather flapper gives a clear, defined contact rather than a vague slap.
  • Branded end cap closes the butt of the handle and stops the grip creeping off.
  • Colour runs right through the translucent gel, so scuffs do not leave pale marks.
<>
Suitable For
  • Hacking, roadwork and general flat schooling, where a short whip is easier to carry.
  • Riders who lose grip on hard plastic handles in wet weather or with gloves on.
  • Anyone building a colour-matched set from Woof Wear's Colour Fusion range.
  • Young or novice riders, being light, short and cheap enough to replace.
  • Not a dressage whip — at 60cm you cannot reach behind your leg without moving a hand, so for flatwork choose the Woof Wear Stealth Dressage Whip or Twisted Dressage Whip, which Woof Wear make at 100cm, 110cm and 120cm.
  • Not a jumping bat either — there is no padded strike area, so for showjumping look at the Woof Wear Stealth Jump Bat at 60cm.

How to Use
  • Hold it in the same hand as your rein, thumb over the top of the gel grip, flapper hanging behind your leg.
  • Use it to confirm a leg aid the horse has ignored — one light tap, then reward the response. It is not a substitute for the leg.
  • Change it to the other hand across the withers when you change the rein, rather than reaching over.
  • Woof Wear's instruction is wipe clean only. Wipe the shaft and gel handle with a damp cloth and dry it off; do not soak it or put it in a wash.
  • Store it hanging, or lying flat, rather than stood on the flapper.
