The Herringbone pads are Woof Wear's smart schooling range, and this is the close contact cut: shaped to sit under a forward-cut jumping or general purpose flap without a wedge of pad showing beyond it. The outer is a satin with a fine herringbone weave, which is where the caramel colour gets its depth, and the trim is a tonal rope edge with the silver Woof Wear badge.

Underneath the satin is the part that matters to the horse: a mesh wicking liner that lets air move and pulls sweat away from the back. A high wither ergonomic cut keeps the pad off the spine, girth separation loops and D-ring straps hold it in place, and a 600D oxford girth pad reinforces the section the girth straps wear against.

How to Use

• Position the pad forward of where it will sit, then slide it back so the coat lies flat.
• Lift the pad into the saddle gullet before tightening the girth so it clears the withers.
• Run the girth straps through the separation loops and fasten the D-ring straps.
• Close all straps before washing. Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle spin with non-biological detergent.
• Do not tumble dry and keep it out of strong sunlight, which fades the satin.
