Woof Wear Hi Vis Riding Whip – Hi Vis Lime

Woof Wear's Hi Vis Riding Whip is a schooling whip built around being seen: a fluorescent shaft with reflective detailing worked into it, a gel handle, and a 10cm flick at the end. Lime is the yellow-green of the four, and the one that stands out best against a wet road.

It is a working whip rather than a competition one. The balance is the selling point after the visibility — Woof Wear describe it as nicely balanced, and it does sit still in the hand rather than nodding, which is what you want from a whip you carry for an hour on the roads.

Performance & Benefits
  • Fluorescent finish with reflective detailing worked in, so it works in daylight and under headlights.
  • Grippy gel handle holds securely in a gloved or wet hand.
  • Nicely balanced in the hand — Woof Wear's own description, and it holds true; the whip does not nod as you ride.
  • Finished with a 10cm flick for a light, clearly defined aid.
  • Part of Woof Wear's wider Hi Vis collection, so it matches their hi-vis tabards, hats bands and boots.
<>
Suitable For
  • Schooling at home and hacking on roads, tracks and bridleways.
  • Riding in poor light — early mornings, winter afternoons, dull or foggy days.
  • Riders assembling a full hi-vis outfit who want the whip to match rather than clash.
  • Sharing between horses and riders on a yard, because it is easy to identify at a glance.
  • Not a jump bat — there is no padded strike area, so a showjumper wants the Woof Wear Stealth Jump Bat at 60cm or the Jump Bat Full Grip at 65cm instead.
  • Not a dressage whip either. For flatwork at length, the Woof Wear Stealth Dressage Whip and Twisted Dressage Whip come in 100cm, 110cm and 120cm.
<>
How to Use
  • Carry it in the hand nearest the direction you are working, flick pointing down and back behind your leg.
  • Ask with the leg first; use the flick only to confirm the aid, then leave the horse alone once it answers.
  • For roadwork, pair it with reflective wear on the horse as well — a whip alone is a small target.
  • Woof Wear's care instruction is wipe clean only. A damp cloth over the shaft and gel handle is enough; do not soak it.
  • Hang it up rather than standing it on the flick, which sets a curl into the end.
