Woof Wear Contour Lead Rope – Ocean

Ocean is the mid blue-green in Woof Wear's Contour range, brighter than navy and easier to spot at a distance — useful if ropes tend to walk off round a livery yard. The build is the same as the rest of the range: a braided cotton outer for the hand, and a recycled polypropylene fibre core carrying the load.

A cotton-covered rope is the sensible compromise for anyone who leads several horses a day. It grips without being abrasive, it does not go rock-hard in winter, and because the strength is in the synthetic core the cotton sleeve is doing comfort rather than structural work. Hot-melt sealed ends and a heavy-duty swivel bolt snap finish it.

How to Use

• Clip the swivel bolt snap into the jaw ring with the gate turned away from the horse's cheek.
• Keep the slack folded in the palm, never coiled around a hand.
• Tie only through a loop of breakable string.
• Look at the bolt snap every time you clip on. A worn spring or a bent gate is reason enough to replace the rope.
• Machine wash at a maximum of 30°C on a gentle spin with non-biological detergent. Do not tumble dry and keep it out of strong sunlight, which will fade the colour.
