Woof Wear Summer Yard Glove – Navy, Medium

Medium sits second in Woof Wear's four-size run and is the size most adults end up in. The polyester knit liner has enough stretch to take a slightly broader hand without the palm coating pulling tight across the knuckles, which is usually what makes a dipped glove feel stiff.

Grip comes from a palm dipped twice over, latex first and nitrile on top, so it holds on a wet rope or a slimy water bucket handle rather than skating off it. The back stays undipped and breathable, which is what separates this from the winter glove in the same range.

Performance & Benefits
  • Stretchy polyester liner, knitted rather than cut and sewn, so it follows the hand instead of bunching.
  • Palm and fingers double-dipped in latex and then nitrile, which is what gives the grip on wet rope and cold metal.
  • Undipped back of the hand lets air through, so the glove does not turn into a sweatbox by mid-morning.
  • Thin enough to work a headcollar buckle or a rug clip without taking it off.
  • Cheap enough at yard-glove money to keep a spare pair in the car and the tack room.
<>
Suitable For
  • Average adult hands, and anyone unsure between sizes who wants the safer guess.
  • Mucking out, haynets, gate catches, water buckets and general yard work in warm weather.
  • Gardening and other outdoor jobs where grip matters more than warmth.
  • Anyone who gets through gloves and would rather replace them than nurse them.
  • Not a riding glove — there is no reinforcement between the fingers and no rein grip. The Woof Wear Competition Glove or the Woof Wear Precision Thermal Glove are the ones to ride in.
  • Not warm enough for winter. The Woof Wear Winter Yard Glove is the thermal, waterproof-coated version of the same job.
<>
How to Use
  • Pull on by the cuff rather than dragging on a fingertip, which is where the liner splits first.
  • Wipe clean only. Woof Wear do not list a wash temperature for this glove, and soaking a dipped palm shortens its life.
  • Dry at room temperature, off the radiator and out of direct sun — heat hardens the latex.
  • Retire the pair once the palm coating starts to craze or peel; a smooth patch on the palm is a grip failure waiting to happen.
<>
Specification
  • Stretch polyester liner with a double latex and nitrile dipped palm and fingers; undipped back.
  • This listing is size Medium (M).
  • Colour navy. Also made in grey.
  • Woof Wear reference WG0125. Made in Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large — no XS and no XXL in this model.
  • Woof Wear publish their glove sizing as a diagram on their size guide rather than as a table of hand measurements, so no circumference figures are stated here.
<>
Care & Caution
  • The palm coating includes natural rubber latex. Anyone with a latex sensitivity should choose an unlined nitrile glove instead.
  • A dipped glove offers no cut protection. It is not the thing for handling wire, blades or a strimmer.
