Woof Wear Summer Yard Glove – Navy, Small

Small is the first of the four sizes Woof Wear make the Summer Yard Glove in, and it is the one to reach for if a standard yard glove leaves you with empty fingertips flapping about. The liner is a stretchy polyester knit, so it draws in close to a smaller hand and stays put while you are picking out feet.

The palm and fingers are dipped twice, once in latex and once in nitrile, which is where the grip on a wet lead rope or a cold gate catch comes from. The back of the hand is left undipped so air can still move through it — the whole point of a summer glove, and the reason it is not the one for a frosty morning.

How to Use

• Pull on by the cuff rather than dragging on a fingertip, which is where the liner splits first.
• Wipe clean only. Woof Wear do not list a wash temperature for this glove, and soaking a dipped palm shortens its life.
• Dry at room temperature, off the radiator and out of direct sun — heat hardens the latex.
• Retire the pair once the palm coating starts to craze or peel; a smooth patch on the palm is a grip failure waiting to happen.

• The palm coating includes natural rubber latex. Anyone with a latex sensitivity should choose an unlined nitrile glove instead.
