Woof Wear Winter Yard Glove – Navy, Size XS

The Winter Yard Glove is Woof Wear's cold-weather working glove: thermal lined, waterproof coated and grippy across the palm, made for the hour before dawn when you are carrying water, breaking ice on troughs and pushing a barrow rather than sitting on a horse. Extra Small is the smallest size Woof Wear make it in, and it is the one that genuinely fits a slim adult or older junior hand.

A glove that bags at the fingertips costs more dexterity than the cold does, so err towards the closer fit if you are between sizes. The shell is a dynamic stretch fabric over the thermal lining, so it flexes with the hand instead of fighting it, and the coating sheds hose water and wet hay.

Performance & Benefits
  • Thermal lining, so this is a genuinely warm glove rather than a windproof shell.
  • Waterproof coating over the palm and fingers keeps wet haynets and hose work off the skin.
  • Durable high-grip palm holds barrow handles, gate catches and buckets when they are slick.
  • Dynamic stretch fabric keeps clips, buckles and headcollar straps workable.
  • Navy throughout, which hides yard dirt far better than a pale glove.

Suitable For
  • Winter mucking out, feeding, haynets and water buckets.
  • Leading and handling in cold, wet weather.
  • Slim adult hands and older juniors — XS is the smallest in the range.
  • Anyone currently ruining a good riding glove on yard work.
  • Not cut for rein feel — for riding in the cold choose the Woof Wear Precision Thermal Glove, or the Woof Wear Waterproof Riding Glove if it is wet as well as cold.

How to Use
  • Take the size you normally wear in a work glove; the stretch shell gives a little, but the lining takes up room.
  • Wear the cuff over a sleeve in rain so water runs off rather than into the glove.
  • Wipe clean only — Woof Wear do not list these as machine washable.
  • Dry at room temperature, away from a radiator or heat lamp, or the coating stiffens.
