The Small Shallow holds 15 litres in a body only 16cm deep and 39.5cm across the rim, which is a very different proposition from a bucket of the same capacity. Everything in it is within reach of a hand without going in up to the elbow, and that is the whole point of the shape.

Yellow is the one you can find. In a dark stable, in long grass, or half-buried under a heap of shavings, a yellow tub is visible where a black or a green one is not — which matters more than it sounds when a tub is being carried between a feed room and six stables in the dark.

How to Use

• Carry it by both handles when it is loaded; a shallow tub tips more readily than a deep one.
• Squeeze the rim into a lip to pour, and let the flexible wall hold the shape as it empties.
• Rinse and upend to drain. It stacks inside another Small Shallow for storage.
• If water freezes in it, flex the sides to break the ice free rather than striking the tub.

Care & Caution

• Red Gorilla state that all Gorilla Tubs are BPA free with the exception of black, green and yellow. This is a yellow tub, so it sits outside that claim — pick another colour if you want a BPA-free tub for feed or drinking water.
• The food-grade LDPE status is separate and still applies; the exclusion is specifically about BPA.
