Agrifence Battery Leads 9–12V with Crocodile Clips

A pair of connection leads terminated in crocodile clips, sold for use between a 9V or 12V fence battery and an energiser. The clips give a firm bite on a terminal post and are colour-matched so live and earth stay the right way round — getting polarity wrong is one of the quicker ways to stop a fence working.

Leads are a wearing part. Crocodile clip jaws lose their spring, copper corrodes green under the insulation where water has crept in, and a lead that looks perfectly sound can drop most of the voltage before it ever reaches the fence. Replacing a suspect pair costs a fraction of the energiser it is starving.

Performance & Benefits
  • Crocodile clips grip battery terminal posts firmly and come off without tools.
  • Colour-coded so live and earth are distinguishable at a glance.
  • Sold as a replacement for worn or corroded leads on 9V and 12V fence batteries.
  • Insulated cable rated for the outdoor, all-weather life a fence lead gets.
  • Straightforward swap — nothing to wire or crimp.
<>
Suitable For
  • 9V and 12V fence batteries with pillar or post terminals.
  • Replacing leads that have corroded, frayed or lost clip tension.
  • Portable setups that are connected and disconnected regularly.
  • Not an adaptor. If you want a 9V energiser to run from a 12V battery you need the Agrifence 9–12V Adaptor Lead, code H4938, not this pair.
  • Not the lead for an Eco Dual Power energiser either — those take the Agrifence Eco Dual Power Energiser to Battery Leads, code H8006, which we stock.
<>
How to Use
  • Switch the energiser off before connecting or disconnecting anything.
  • Clip the red lead to the positive terminal and the black or green lead to the negative.
  • Check the jaws close on clean, bright metal — scrape a corroded terminal first.
  • Disconnect at the battery when the fence is out of use for any length of time.
  • Wipe the clips dry and store them off the ground rather than leaving them in a wet field.

Specification
  • Two connection leads with crocodile clip terminations, for 9V and 12V fence batteries.
  • Barcode 5052150000220.
  • Agrifence do not currently publish a product page or specification for this lead set, so no cable length, conductor size or product code is stated here. Retail listings describe it variously as crocodile clip and as spring clip; the clips supplied are crocodile clips.
