Agrifence Easytape White – 20mm x 200m

The 20mm width of Agrifence's white Easytape, on a 200 metre reel. Nearly twice the width of the 12mm tape, it carries more stainless steel wire and presents a much broader white band — which is why it is the width most often chosen for horse fencing rather than for cattle strip grazing.

Width buys two things: visibility and conductor cross-section. It costs you wind load, so 20mm tape wants posts at sensible spacing and honest tension rather than being strung slack across a gale-swept field. On a well-set line it is the most reassuring of the Easytape widths to look at.

• Agrifence do not recommend Easytape for perimeter fences or for use in poor conditions.
• Will not fit the Agrifence Economy Ring Insulator, which takes conductors up to 12mm only — 20mm tape needs an insulator rated for it, or a plastic post with 20mm tape slots.

How to Use

• Thread through 20mm tape insulators or the tape slots on plastic posts.
• Keep the tape flat and tension by hand; a twisted tape frays and catches wind.
• Join with a 20mm tape connector clamping across the full width.
• Space posts closer than you would for polywire — the wider tape catches more wind.
• Wind back onto a reel for storage and check the joins each season.
