Agrifence HPX Tape Insulator – Pack of 25

Wide tape will not sit properly in a ring. It twists, it folds along one edge, and the conductive filaments on the folded side stop making contact. This insulator holds tape flat in a locking clip instead, taking anything up to 40mm, and doubles as a wire insulator when the run changes material.

The clip has a buffer moulded into it, which is what keeps the tape alive rather than merely held: the tape can move and settle without the clip edge grinding through the woven filaments. Like the rest of the HPX range it goes in on a screw shank and carries a five-year guarantee.

Performance & Benefits
  • Holds tape up to 40mm wide flat, so the whole width keeps conducting.
  • Precision locking clip with an integral buffer to protect the tape from wear.
  • Doubles as a wire insulator, useful where a run changes from tape to wire.
  • HPX Easyscrew shank for fast fitting into timber; works with the Agrifence Speediso tool.
  • Five-year guarantee from Agrifence.
  • Twenty-five per pack.
<>
Suitable For
  • Horse and pony paddocks fenced in 20mm or 40mm tape, where visibility matters.
  • Semi-permanent perimeter fencing on wooden posts.
  • Runs that mix tape and wire on the same line of posts.
  • Fences being upgraded from narrow to wide tape without replacing every insulator type.
  • Not the right fitting for 6mm rope or 8mm wire on a long straight run — the Agrifence HPX Ring Insulator threads those through a rounded ring more kindly.
<>
How to Use
  • Set a consistent line height along the run before fitting.
  • Drive the HPX shank square into sound timber until the body meets the post.
  • Open the clip, lay the tape in flat and unfolded, and close the clip onto it.
  • Do not overtighten tape into the clip — it should be gripped, not crushed.
  • Check after the first windy week that no tape has twisted between posts.
