Agrifence Line to Line Connector for Tape – Aluminium, 60cm
Tape is woven, and a woven conductor needs contact across its width rather than at one point. This connector uses aluminium plates that clamp the full width of the tape, joined by a 60cm insulated lead, so two tape lines are bonded properly rather than pinched at a corner.
Aluminium is the material choice worth knowing about. It does not corrode into a high-resistance joint the way a bare steel clip will after two wet winters, and a corroded joint is one of the commonest reasons a fence that tested fine in April reads low in November.

Suitable For

How to Use
- Turn the energiser off before opening either clamp.
- Lay the tape flat between the aluminium plates and close the clamp onto its full width.
- Fit the second end to the other line, keeping the lead clear of earthed posts and wire.
- Restore power and check the voltage on both lines with a fence tester.
- Reopen and reseat the clamp if a reading is low; tape that has folded inside the plate makes poor contact.
