Same 21cm offset, different geometry. The arm on this one is cranked rather than straight, which lifts the ring above the line of the shaft and lets the rope or wire sit higher than the point where the insulator is screwed in.

That matters when the post you have is not at the height you want. On a low stock fence, or where the sound timber is below the height a horse actually leans, the crank buys you the extra rise without a second row of posts. Agrifence's stated aim is the same as the straight version — keeping animals off permanent posts — reached from a fixing point that would otherwise be too low.

How to Use

• Work out the height you want the line at, then how far above the fixing point that is.
• Screw the shaft into sound timber with the crank rising into the field.
• Keep every insulator on the run cranked the same way, or the line will wander in height.
• Thread the rope or wire through the ring rather than knotting it on.
• Check the arms after stock have been in; a cranked arm is a longer lever and takes more of a knock.
