Agrifence Rope Joiner – Stainless Steel, Pack of 5

A clamp for joining electric fence rope up to 6mm, Agrifence code H5388, supplied here five to a pack. Braided rope is the material of choice for horse fencing because it does not flap and it does not cut, but it has one weakness: a knotted join loses most of its conductivity.

This clamp gets round that by holding the two rope ends in direct metal contact, so the pulse crosses the join rather than dying at it. Five in a pack means a spare or two in the fence bag for the day a rope parts in the middle of a paddock.

How to Use

• Switch the energiser off before working on the line.
• Trim both rope ends back to clean, unfrayed braid.
• Feed both ends into the clamp and tighten until neither can be pulled free.
• Site the join in a clear span, not inside an insulator or against a post.
• Check the voltage on both sides of the join with a fence tester before leaving.
