Agrifence Line Connector for Rope and Wire – 60cm

Where two live lines run one above the other, they need joining, or the lower one carries all the load and the upper one loses voltage down its length. This is Agrifence's line connector for rope and wire, code H4905: a 60cm insulated lead with a fixing at each end that ties the two lines together electrically.

Agrifence describe its job as allowing equal distribution of power between lines, and that is exactly what a multi-strand horse fence needs. Bridge the strands every few hundred metres and the whole fence sits at one voltage instead of tailing off strand by strand.

<>
Performance & Benefits
  • Joins two lines of rope or wire so both carry the same voltage.
  • 60cm lead, long enough to bridge normal horse-fence line spacings.
  • Insulated along its length, so it can pass a post without shorting.
  • Keeps the far end of a long fence at working voltage rather than letting it drop.
  • Supplied singly, so you buy exactly the number of bridges the fence needs.
<>
Suitable For
  • Multi-strand rope or wire fences, two lines and upwards.
  • Long runs where voltage is measurably lower at the far end than at the energiser.
  • Joining a new section of fence into an existing live line.
  • Fences being rewired one strand at a time.
  • Not the fitting for tape — the Agrifence Line to Line Connector for Tape, in aluminium, and the Line to Line Crocodile Connector both grip tape properly across its width.
<>
How to Use
  • Switch the energiser off before touching either line.
  • Fix one end to the upper line and one to the lower, keeping the connection tight against the conductor.
  • Repeat every few hundred metres on a long fence rather than bridging once at the energiser.
  • Switch the fence back on and check voltage at the far end with a tester.
  • Inspect the connections when you walk the fence; a loose or corroded joint shows up as a voltage drop.
