The Tapelock does two jobs at once. It insulates the tape from the post at a corner or end, and it lets the line be tensioned without dragging the tape over a fixed edge — Agrifence's phrase is tensioning "without wear and tear to the tape", and on a fence that gets re-tightened every spring that matters.

What sets it apart is the carbon fibre conductive rubber pads. Electric fence tape carries current in fine filaments woven through it, and those filaments break with age and flexing. The pads bridge across broken conductors at the fitting, restoring continuity where the tape itself has started to fail.

How to Use

• Switch the energiser off before working on the line.
• Fix the insulator to the corner or end post.

• Restore power and check the voltage past the fitting; if the tape is old, the reading here tells you whether it is worth keeping.
