Anco Naturals Bully Pizzle – Large

The large pizzle is the longer, thicker end of Anco’s bully range, sold one at a time. It is 100% beef pizzle and nothing else, declared at 76% protein against 8% fat — the leanest of the two pizzle sizes we stock.

What makes a pizzle worth the money is how it behaves under the teeth. It starts firm, then frays into fibres as the dog works at it, and those fibres get into the gaps a biscuit never reaches. A large one keeps a medium or big dog occupied for a proper stretch rather than a couple of minutes.

Performance & Benefits
  • 100% beef pizzle, with nothing added.
  • Anco declare 76% protein and 8% fat.
  • Frays into fibres as it is chewed, which is where the plaque work happens.
  • The large size gives a bigger dog something worth settling down with.
  • Low enough in fat for dogs kept on restricted diets.
  • Sold singly.
<>
Suitable For
  • Medium, large and giant breeds.
  • Puppies from eight weeks of age, under supervision.
  • Dogs on a low-fat diet or prone to pancreatitis.
  • Dogs that need occupying rather than simply rewarding.
  • Too much chew for a toy breed in one sitting — the Anco Naturals Bully Pizzle Stick is the size to reach for there.
<>
Feeding
  • A complementary pet food. Feed as a treat or reward, not in place of a meal.
  • Suitable for puppies from eight weeks of age.
  • One pizzle at a time, and allow for it in the day’s intake.
  • Keep fresh drinking water available.
<>
Composition & Analysis
  • Composition: 100% beef pizzle.
  • Analytical constituents: protein 76%, fat 8%, ash 5%.
  • Anco publish no fibre or moisture figure for the pizzles, so none is stated here.
  • Supplied as one chew. Anco also do a standard stick size and a 1kg eco-bag.
<>
Care & Caution
  • Supervise the whole chew. Anco ask that dogs are watched whenever they are given a treat.
  • Take the stub away once it is short enough to be swallowed whole — a gulped end piece is the real risk with any long chew.
  • Fresh drinking water should always be available.
  • Introduce gradually if your dog has not had dried beef chews before.
