Ancol Ceramic Dog Bowl with Non-Slip Silicone Base – 1000ml
This is the middle size in Ancol's ceramic feeding range: a glazed dish 17cm across and 6cm deep, holding 1000ml. The weight of the ceramic does most of the work of keeping it in place, and a silicone ring set into the underside does the rest, so the bowl stays where it is put rather than being nudged across the tiles as a dog eats.
The silicone ring pulls out for cleaning and the bowl itself is dishwasher safe, so nothing traps food along a seam. At 1000ml it holds a full meal for a small or medium dog, or a good drink between refills; Ancol make the same bowl at 400ml and 1800ml if this one is the wrong size.
<>Performance & Benefits
- 1000ml capacity in a dish 17cm in diameter and 6cm deep.
- Glazed ceramic body, heavy enough to stay still under a determined eater.
- Removable non-slip silicone base ring grips tiles, laminate and other hard floors.
- Dishwasher safe, and the glaze wipes clean without scrubbing.
- Middle of three sizes — 400ml, 1000ml and 1800ml — so bowls can be matched across a household.
- Supplied in widely recycled packaging.
Suitable For
- Small and medium dogs on normal portions.
- Either food or water, indoors on a hard floor.
- Dogs that push a lightweight plastic bowl around the room.
- Households that want a wipe-clean bowl with no plastic in the dish itself.
- Not enough capacity for large or giant breeds — the 1800ml size of this bowl, or the Ancol Sage Stainless Steel Feeding Bowl at 2460ml, suits those better.
How to Use
- Stand the bowl on a level, hard floor with the silicone ring downwards.
- Wash food bowls after every use, and water bowls at least once a day, in warm water with a mild dish soap.
- Remove the silicone base before putting the bowl in the dishwasher.
- Dry the bowl and the ring fully before refilling.
Specification
- Capacity 1000ml. 17cm diameter, 6cm deep.
- Glazed ceramic with a removable silicone base ring.
- Ancol product code 971100; the range code is 971000.
- Also made at 400ml (13cm diameter, 5cm deep) and 1800ml (20cm diameter, 7cm deep).
- Ancol publish no weight for the bowl, so none is stated here.
Care & Caution
- Stop using the bowl if the ceramic chips, cracks or crazes.
- Avoid sudden temperature changes — very hot water into a cold bowl can crack it.
- Do not clean with steel wool or abrasive pads; they dull and damage the glaze.
- This is a feeding bowl, not a chew toy. Lift it between meals if your dog gnaws at the rim.
