Ancol Soho Dalmatian Collar – Large, 45–70cm

This is the top of the Soho collar range: a 45–70cm neck adjustment on webbing 2.5cm wide. The extra width is the point of the large rather than an afterthought — on a labrador, a boxer or a shepherd, a broader strap spreads the load of a sudden lunge across more of the neck instead of concentrating it in a narrow line.

The pattern is the same soft pale pink ground with hand-drawn black spots as the smaller sizes, printed on 100% recycled webbing and made in the UK. Ancol put the saving at roughly three plastic bottles per Soho collar, and the packaging is plastic-free and widely recyclable.

Performance & Benefits
  • Widest webbing in the Soho collar range at 2.5cm, for a big neck and a strong dog.
  • Adjustable 45–70cm, covering most large and giant breeds and thick-coated dogs.
  • 100% recycled webbing, made in the UK, weather-resistant and hardwearing.
  • Pale pink ground with hand-drawn black spots, matching the Dalmatian lead.
  • Machine washable at 30°C, so a light-coloured collar on a muddy dog stays serviceable.
  • Roughly three plastic bottles diverted from landfill per collar, on Ancol's figures.

Suitable For
  • Dogs measuring 45–70cm around the neck.
  • Large and giant breeds, and any dog whose ruff adds to the tape measurement.
  • Everyday walking, training and general wear.
  • Pairing with the Ancol Dalmatian Pattern Dog Lead, which is rated for dogs up to 50kg.
  • Anything measuring under 45cm is better on the medium — the Ancol Dalmatian Pattern Dog Collar Medium runs 30–50cm on 2cm webbing, and a 46–49cm neck can take either.
<>
How to Use
  • Measure around the base of the neck over the coat, not under it, on a thick-coated dog.
  • Fit so two fingers slide easily between webbing and neck, with the slider not at the very end of its travel.
  • Check the buckle and the D-ring stitching each week on a dog that pulls.
  • Machine wash at 30°C, do not tumble dry, and air dry fully before use.

  • Also made in Small (20–30cm, 1.5cm wide) and Medium (30–50cm, 2cm wide).
  • Ancol state only that the webbing is 100% recycled and publish no fibre composition, so none is given here.

Care & Caution
  • Do not tumble dry; the heat will distort webbing and hardware.
  • A flat collar is not a restraint for a heavy puller — a strong dog that leans into the lead is better walked on a harness.
  • Remove the collar for crating and unsupervised play to avoid snagging.
  • Replace it once the webbing goes soft at the buckle or the stitching lifts.
