Ancol Playtime Jumbo Rope – 130cm
At 130cm this is the longest rope toy Ancol make, and the length is the reason to buy it. With well over a metre between your hands and the dog's teeth, tug becomes something you can play safely with a dog that lunges and re-grips, and there is enough rope left over to swing it along the ground as a chase toy.
It is naturally strong cotton rope, made using recycled fibre. As with any rope toy the chewing does a second job: the strands pass between the teeth and help keep teeth and gums clean, which no plush or moulded toy will do.
<>Performance & Benefits
- 130cm long, giving a metre and more of distance between hand and mouth.
- Naturally strong cotton rope, made using recycled fibre.
- Long enough to double as a chase toy dragged along the ground.
- Rope strands help support healthy teeth and gums during chewing.
- Built for big, boisterous dogs and strong interactive play.
Suitable For
- Large, powerful dogs that tug hard.
- Dogs that re-grip mid-tug, where hand distance matters.
- Two dogs playing tug with each other under supervision.
- Households moving towards recycled materials.
- Far too much rope for puppies and toy breeds — the Ancol Playtime Ropey Knot at 30cm suits a small dog better.
How to Use
- Hold one end and let the dog take the other; pull side to side, never upwards.
- Drag it along the ground in a wide arc for a chase game.
- Trim loose strands as they appear, and retire it once it starts to unravel.
- Wash by hand and dry fully before storing.
Specification
- 130cm in length.
- Naturally strong cotton rope, made using recycled materials.
- Ancol Playtime Rope range. Product code 991297.
- Ancol's own name for this item is Jumbo Rope; the Jumbo family also includes the Jumbo Super Rope and the Jumbo Ball Tug.
- Ancol publish no weight and no fibre percentages, so neither is stated here.
Care & Caution
- Designed for tugging and play, and not indestructible. Always supervise your dog during use.
- Check regularly for signs of wear and remove it immediately if damaged or if parts come away.
- Swallowed rope strands can cause serious internal blockages. Retire the rope before it frays badly.
- A 130cm rope is long enough to tangle round legs. Do not leave it down loose with an unsupervised dog.
