Ancol Chase Tennis Ball Launcher – 62cm

A 62cm moulded plastic launcher that throws a tennis ball considerably further than an arm will, with a scoop at the business end that picks the ball up off the ground. That second part is the one owners come back for: you never have to bend down for a wet, muddy, well-chewed ball again, and it does not go in your pocket.

It is a straightforward piece of hardwearing plastic with no moving parts to break, and one 7cm tennis ball is supplied with it. The extra distance means a dog covers far more ground per throw, which shortens the walk needed to tire out a fit retriever.

How to Use

• Press the scoop over the ball on the ground until it seats, then throw overarm in a smooth arc.
• Keep the throw low and flat on hard ground — a high launch plus a hard landing is where dogs skid and pull muscles.
• Wipe clean with a damp cloth as required and allow to air dry fully before storing.
• Fits standard 7cm tennis balls, including the replacement ball packs Ancol supply.

Care & Caution

• The launcher is not a chew toy. Do not let a dog take hold of it, and never play tug with the scoop.
• Check the scoop for cracks and sharp edges where a dog has bitten it, and replace it if it splits.
• Do not aim at people or animals, and make sure the dog is beside you rather than in front when you throw.
• Repeated long throws on hard or uneven ground put real strain on joints. Keep sessions short with puppies, older dogs and heavy breeds.
• Replace the tennis ball once the felt is chewed off or the ball splits.
