Ancol Soho Zigzag Collar – Large, 45–70cm

The large Zigzag adjusts from 45cm to 70cm, a 25cm span that is the widest in the Soho range, and it does it on 2.5cm webbing. That combination is worth understanding before buying: the size is aimed at retrievers, shepherds, bull breeds and the heavily ruffed spitz types, where neck measurements vary far more between individuals than they do among small dogs.

The print is a black ground with hand-drawn pale pink zigzags, the same as the smaller sizes, on 100% recycled webbing made in the UK. Practically, the dark base and the 30°C wash mean a big dog's collar can be brought back rather than replaced twice a year.

How to Use

• Measure over the coat at the base of the neck; on a thick-coated dog, measure again after grooming.
• Fit for two fingers of clearance and leave some adjustment left in the slider.
• Inspect the buckle and stitching weekly if the dog leans into the lead.
• Machine wash at 30°C, do not tumble dry, air dry fully before refitting.

Care & Caution

• Do not tumble dry — heat will distort the webbing and the plastic buckle.
• A flat collar is not the right control for a large dog that pulls hard; a front-fitting or body harness sized for the dog is the better tool.
• Remove for crating and unsupervised play.
• Never tether a dog by a flat collar, and replace the collar at the first sign of lifted stitching.
