Animology Top Dog Conditioner – 250ml

Top Dog is the rinse-out conditioner that follows any of the Animology shampoos. Animology describe it as a vitamin enriched dog conditioner which helps to detangle and replenish moisture in the coat, and which helps maintain a soft, shiny and healthy coat with pro-vitamin B5.

It is a short, conventional conditioner formula — a cetearyl alcohol and cetrimonium chloride base with polyquaternium-10 and panthenol. That combination is what smooths the hair shaft so a comb runs through it. Animology describe it as easy rinse and pH balanced, and their own instruction is to leave it on for five minutes before rinsing, which is where most of the benefit comes from.

How to Use

• Shampoo and rinse first.
• Wet the coat with warm water, apply the conditioner and work it into the coat from the neck down, avoiding the eyes and ears.
• Animology recommend leaving it on for five minutes before rinsing completely.
• Rinse out fully, then comb through in sections while the coat is still damp.

Care & Caution

• Keep it out of the eyes and ear canals. Cetrimonium chloride is a cationic surfactant and stings considerably more than a shampoo.
• Rinse it out completely. Conditioner left in a thick coat goes greasy, collects dirt and re-tangles within days.
• Watch your footing — conditioner makes a bath or shower tray genuinely slippery.
• Formulated for dogs. Do not use it on cats.
