Bartleby Funky Bamboo Sock – Pheasant, Size 4–7
The Funky Bamboo Sock is Bartleby’s everyday sock rather than a boot sock: ordinary length, ordinary weight, UK 4–7, here carrying a pheasant design. It is the sock to wear inside a shoe, a trainer or a work boot that is already a close fit.
Bartleby name the range for bamboo, but they publish no fibre percentages, so how much of the yarn is bamboo viscose and what the rest of it is are not things this page can state. What can be said is that it is a normal-weight sock, noticeably thinner than the welly socks carrying the same country designs.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Everyday sock length and weight, for shoes rather than wellingtons.
- Pheasant design, from the game-bird subjects in Bartleby’s country range.
- UK size 4–7.
- Thin enough to wear inside a close-fitting boot or a trainer.
- Sold by the single named design, so a second pair matches the first.
Suitable For
- Day-to-day wear with shoes, trainers and lace-up boots.
- Shooting and country-themed gift buying.
- Anyone who likes a patterned sock without a heavy knit.
- Footwear that has no room in it for a thick sock.
- Not enough thickness for a loose wellington — the Bartleby Funky Welly Sock 4-7 range is cut long and heavy for that.
How to Use
- Wear as a normal sock; no boot is needed to make the length work.
- Machine wash with similar colours at a cool temperature.
- Keep out of a hot tumble dryer, which is hard on a patterned sock.
- Dry naturally and pair them before putting them away.
Specification
- Bartleby® Funky Bamboo Sock, Pheasant design, UK size 4–7.
- Made under the Bartleby® label by Otterdene Ltd of Cullompton, Devon.
- Bartleby name the range for bamboo but publish no fibre percentages, so no composition is stated here and none should be assumed from the range name.
- Earlier copy on this page called the sock breathable, skin-friendly and suitable for sensitive feet; Bartleby make none of those claims, so all three have been removed.
