Buddycare Flea & Tick Dog Shampoo – 500ml

This is a washing shampoo with tea tree and eucalyptus oils in it, not a licensed veterinary parasiticide. Buddycare formulate it to lift irritation and unwanted passengers out of the coat, and the melaleuca alternifolia and eucalyptus radiata oils sit alongside coconut oil and aloe vera in the declared composition.

Used properly it drowns and washes out live fleas and gives a bitten dog some relief, which makes it a useful part of a flea plan. It is not a substitute for one. A household infestation needs a veterinary product on the dog and treatment of the bedding and carpets as well.

How to Use

• Wet the dog thoroughly with warm water.
• Lather and massage into the coat for five full minutes so the oils have contact time.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry.
• Keep it away from the eyes, nose, mouth and genitals.
• Buddycare advise regular use for continued relief; treat bedding and the house at the same time.
• The 20:1 dilution ratio Buddycare publish is for diluting the concentrate in a salon.

Care & Caution

• Do not use on cats. Tea tree oil is toxic to cats, and a cat will groom whatever is left on its coat.
• Keep the lather away from the eyes, nose, mouth and genitals, and rinse with water on accidental contact.
• This shampoo will not clear an infestation on its own. Use a veterinary flea and tick product on the dog and treat bedding, carpets and soft furnishings at the same time.
• Stop using it and speak to your vet if the skin becomes redder or sorer after washing.
