Buddycare Black Cherry Waterless Dry Dog Shampoo – 200ml
Black cherry is the loudest scent Buddycare make, and in a rinse-free product that matters more than it does in a shampoo you wash out — whatever goes on stays on. If you want a dog to smell noticeably clean after a five-minute freshen up rather than merely not smell of fox, this is the bottle to reach for.
Underneath the scent it is the same formulation as the rest of the waterless range: a cocamidopropyl betaine and lauryl glucoside base with aloe barbadensis leaf juice and panthenol, free of SLS, sulphates and parabens. Apply, massage in, brush through, and there is no rinsing and no drying.
<>Performance & Benefits
- The strongest scent in the Buddycare waterless range, and it stays on the coat.
- Rinse free — no bath, no hosing down, no wet dog in the house.
- Sugar-derived lauryl glucoside and mild cocamidopropyl betaine rather than sulphates.
- Aloe barbadensis leaf juice and panthenol to keep the coat from drying out.
- Free from SLS, sulphates and parabens.
- 200ml, enough for a season of between-bath tidy-ups on a medium dog.
Suitable For
- Dogs that need to smell clean before visitors arrive.
- Between full washes on a dog that is bathed rarely.
- Puppies from eight weeks, and dogs that will not tolerate a bath.
- Kennels and vans where there is no warm water.
- Not for cats, and not the choice for a dog with a fragrance sensitivity — the plainer Baby Fresh or Oatmeal scents in the same range are a better starting point.
How to Use
- Apply to the coat and gently massage it in.
- Concentrate on the dirty areas rather than covering the whole dog.
- Brush the coat through if necessary.
- Do not rinse — the formula is designed to be left in.
- Start with less than you think you need; the scent is strong and more is hard to undo.
Specification
- 200ml bottle of rinse-free waterless dog shampoo.
- Ingredients: aqua (water), cocamidopropyl betaine, glycerin, phenoxyethanol, sodium chloride, polysorbate 20, lauryl glucoside, sodium benzoate, sodium hydroxide, aloe barbadensis (aloe) leaf juice, panthenol (provitamin B5), parfum.
- Free from SLS, sulphates and parabens.
- The black cherry comes from the parfum. Buddycare declare no cherry extract in the ingredient list.
- Buddycare publish no pH figure and no shelf life after opening for this bottle, so none is given here.
Care & Caution
- Buddycare formulate this for dogs only and say plainly not to use it on cats, whose skin pH differs. Use a cat shampoo on a cat.
- It is rinse free, so it stays on the coat and the dog will lick it. Use only what the coat needs, and keep it off the muzzle and around the mouth.
- Keep it out of the eyes and ears. Flush with clean water if any gets in.
- Not for puppies under eight weeks.
- Stop using it if the skin reddens or the dog scratches more after a wash, and speak to your vet.
