Burgess Adult Cat Food – Rich in Chicken with Duck, 10kg
The 10kg sack of Burgess’s chicken and duck adult recipe: the same formulation as the 1.5kg bag, bought at the size that suits a household with several cats. Poultry meal accounts for 20.5% of it, of which chicken is 18.5%, with duck meal adding a further 4%.
Fat sits at 11% and crude protein at 29.5%, with taurine at 1000mg/kg and prebiotic FOS at 0.3%. The practical question with a sack this size is storage — kibble at 11% fat goes stale and eventually rancid once air gets to it, so it wants decanting into a sealed bin rather than living in a rolled-down bag.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Poultry meal at 20.5%, of which chicken is 18.5%, plus duck meal at 4%.
- Crude protein 29.5%, crude fat 11%, crude fibre 2%, crude ash 7.5%.
- Taurine at 1000mg/kg and DL-methionine at 2,000mg/kg.
- Prebiotic FOS at 0.3%, supporting beneficial gut bacteria.
- Predicted energy 390.5 kcal per 100g, so a full sack is roughly 39,000 kcal of food.
- The lowest cost per kilo of the three pack sizes Burgess make.
Suitable For
- Adult cats from twelve months to seven years.
- Households with three or more cats, and rescues or catteries.
- Anyone with an airtight bin to decant 10kg into.
- Cats doing well on poultry rather than fish.
- A single cat will not get through 10kg while it is fresh — the 1.5kg bag of the same recipe is the better buy, and a cat over seven wants a mature formulation.
Feeding
- Feed the daily amount given on the pack, adjusted for appetite, environment and activity level.
- Decant into a sealed container rather than feeding from an open sack.
- Divide the daily ration across at least two meals.
- Fresh clean water available at all times alongside a dry diet.
- Change from another food gradually, over about a week.
