Fresh lamb trimmings at 96%, freeze-dried rather than cooked. Water is drawn off at low temperature, so the protein structure and the smell survive largely intact — which is why these carry so much further with a distracted dog than a baked biscuit does.

It is one of only two genuine mono-protein treats in the Carnilove freeze-dried line, lamb being the sole animal ingredient. The other is the turkey version. Both matter if you are working through an elimination diet and need a reward that will not contaminate the trial.

Feeding

• Complementary feed. Give as a snack or crumble over the main meal as a topper.
• Small dogs 1–10kg: 2 pieces, or 5g as a topper.
• Medium dogs 10–25kg: 2–4 pieces, or 5–10g as a topper.
• Large dogs over 25kg: 4 or more pieces, or 10g and upwards as a topper.
• Take the calories off the main ration — these are dense.
• Reseal the pack after opening and keep fresh water available.
