The 400g bag is the one to buy while you are still finding out whether duck suits the cat. The recipe is identical to the 2kg: 70% fresh duck, no meat meals, beef fat rather than chicken fat, and 35% crude protein on 3,608 kcal/kg.

Feeding

• Carnilove's guide by bodyweight: 2–3kg 30–45g a day; 3–5kg 45–65g; 5–7kg 65–80g; 7–9kg 80–90g.
• Split across the day rather than putting the whole ration down at once.
• Introduce gradually over about a week when changing from another food.
• Fresh drinking water always available — it matters more on a dry diet than on any other.
