Fresh turkey at 70%, no meat meals, and beef fat rather than chicken fat as the added fat. Carnilove publish this one specifically for sterilised adult cats — 35% crude protein on 3,648 kcal/kg, the highest energy of the three True Fresh cat recipes and still well under a standard adult food.

Crude fibre is 3.0%, the lowest in the True Fresh cat line, so it produces less stool volume than the beef and duck versions. Taurine is at 2,500mg/kg and L-methionine at 5,000mg/kg, the same as the rest of the sterilised range.

Feeding

• Carnilove's guide by bodyweight: 2–3kg 30–45g a day; 3–5kg 45–65g; 5–7kg 65–80g; 7–9kg 80–90g.
• Split across the day rather than putting the whole ration down at once.
• Introduce gradually over about a week when changing from another food.
• Fresh drinking water always available — it matters more on a dry diet than on any other.
