Carnilove Cat Pouch – Rabbit with Marigold in Gravy, 85g, for Kittens
A kitten pouch rather than an adult one. Carnilove formulate it for kittens of all breeds during growth, at 8.5% crude protein and 4.5% fat with 860 kcal/kg — the gentlest figures of the pouch range, on 80.0% moisture.
Rabbit fillets are 14% of the 90% meat and organ content; the other 76% is turkey and turkey liver. The 1% dried marigold is the herb Carnilove pair with this recipe. Some listings describe the meat as chicken; Carnilove's own published composition says turkey.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Formulated specifically for kittens, not adult cats.
- 90% meat and organs in fillets, including 14% rabbit.
- 8.5% protein and 4.5% fat at 860 kcal/kg, on 80.0% moisture.
- 1% dried marigold and 1% linseed oil.
- Taurine at 1,400 mg/kg, essential for a growing cat.
- 85g pouch, a sensible single serving for a small stomach.
Suitable For
- Kittens of all breeds through the growth stage.
- Weaning a litter onto solid food alongside a kitten kibble.
- Kittens that need the moisture of a wet food.
- Turkey and turkey liver are 76% of the fillets, so it is not a rabbit-only or poultry-free food.
- Adult cats are better served by one of the adult pouches in the same range, such as the pheasant or trout recipes.
Feeding
- Carnilove's guide, by the cat's weight: 3kg 3.5 pouches a day, 4–6kg 4–4.5, 6–8kg 4.5–5.
- For a young kitten, offer little and often across the day rather than in two large meals.
- Reduce the number of pouches if a kitten kibble is fed as well.
- Serve at room temperature rather than straight from the fridge.
- An opened pouch keeps in the fridge for up to three days, or can be frozen.
- Feed alongside fresh water; wet food supplies moisture but does not replace a water bowl.
