Carr & Day & Martin Gallop Colour Shampoo – Bay, 500ml
Gallop Colour is CDM's luxury shampoo range with a separate bottle for each coat colour. The Bay version uses colour enhancers and optical brighteners to take the warm red-brown of a bay coat up to showring standard, while cleaning the horse the way any good shampoo would.
Nothing in it dyes the hair — the effect works on the shade already there, and results are immediate rather than building over a course of washes. CDM state that an exact match to the horse's natural colour is not necessary, so it covers everything from a light bay through to a dark brown.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Cleans and intensifies the natural coat colour and sheen in a single wash.
- Colour enhancers and optical brighteners lift the warm red-brown of a bay to showring standard.
- Results are immediate, so it can be done on the morning of a class.
- May also be used on the mane and tail, so black points get the same treatment.
- Rich lather from a luxury base, which makes it perfectly usable as a routine shampoo.
Suitable For
- Bay, dark bay and brown horses and ponies.
- Show preparation where the coat needs an extra edge on the day.
- Routine washing through the season, not only before a class.
- Manes and tails as well as the body.
- Grey, black, chestnut and palomino coats each have their own bottle in the Gallop Colour range — use the matching one.
How to Use
- Wet the coat thoroughly before you start.
- Apply the shampoo directly to the wet coat.
- Work in well with a brush, a sponge or by hand until you have a rich lather.
- Rinse thoroughly, and give a heavily marked area a second pass if it needs it.
