Gallop Medicated is the shampoo in the Gallop line for skin that is not right — dry, flaky, itchy, scurfy or simply sensitive. It is a deep-cleaning medicated formula with added coat conditioners, and it is pH neutral with natural oils, which is what lets it be used repeatedly on already sore skin without stripping it further.

The practical difference from the other Gallop shampoos is contact time. On a skin condition you lather it in and leave it working for five minutes before rinsing, so the formula gets to do something rather than just wash. It also helps soften and lift scabs and dandruff, which is the tedious part of managing a scurfy horse. One 500ml bottle runs to roughly ten washes.

How to Use

• For routine use, apply directly to a wet coat, or dilute five to ten squirts in water.
