Ancol Ceramic Bowl with Non-Slip Silicone Base – 400ml

A glazed ceramic feeding bowl holding 400ml, measuring 13cm across and 5cm deep, with a silicone ring fitted into the underside. The weight of the ceramic keeps it planted and the silicone stops it skating across tiles or laminate, so a dog working at the last of its food pushes the bowl rather than chasing it into the skirting board.

The silicone base pulls off, which matters for two reasons: it goes in the dishwasher without the rubber trapping water underneath, and it can be rinsed properly rather than becoming the part nobody cleans. At 400ml this is the smallest of the three sizes Ancol make in this shape, and Ancol sell it under their Hungry Paws feeding range.

Performance & Benefits
  • Glazed ceramic body, heavy enough to stay put while a dog eats.
  • 400ml capacity in a dish 13cm across and 5cm deep.
  • Removable non-slip silicone ring in the base grips hard floors.
  • Dishwasher safe once the silicone base has been taken off.
  • Wipes clean and does not scratch and hold odours the way soft plastic does.
  • Supplied in plastic-free, widely recyclable packaging.
<>
Suitable For
  • Cats, puppies and small dogs on normal portions.
  • Food or water on tiles, laminate or any hard floor.
  • Dogs that shove a light bowl around the kitchen.
  • Households moving away from plastic feeding bowls.
  • Not enough capacity for a large or giant breed — Ancol make the same bowl in 1000ml and 1800ml for those.
<>
How to Use
  • Stand the bowl on a level hard floor with the silicone ring downwards.
  • Wash food bowls after every use and water bowls at least once a day, in warm water with a mild dish soap.
  • Rinse all soap residue away and keep a separate sponge or cloth for pet dishes.
  • Remove the silicone base before the bowl goes in the dishwasher.
  • Dry the bowl and the base fully before refitting and refilling.

Care & Caution
  • Ancol warn against sudden temperature changes, which can thermally shock ceramic — do not pour boiling water into a cold bowl.
  • Stop using the bowl if the ceramic becomes chipped, cracked or crazed; broken glaze is sharp and holds bacteria.
  • Do not clean it with abrasive pads or harsh scrubbers.
