Feeding

• Feed ad lib from a feeder, with clean fresh water always available.
• Begin about three weeks before point of lay, which is around 16 to 18 weeks in most laying breeds.
• Copdock Mill publish no gram-per-bird rate for the pellets. Their published figure for Range Layers Mash is a minimum of 120g per hen per day.
• Keep insoluble flint grit available separately for the gizzard.
• Reseal the bag between feeds and use it within a few weeks of opening.

• Composition: wheat, hipro soya bean extract, limestone granules, sunflower extract, wheatfeed, dicalcium phosphate, salt, DL-methionine, layers supplement (DSM), oil, with the Verm-X herbal blend.

Care & Caution

• A layers ration is calcium-loaded for birds in lay. Chicks and growers must not have it: a sustained calcium load before point of lay damages the kidneys.
• Verm-X is a herbal blend, not a licensed wormer. Where a worm burden is diagnosed it does not replace a veterinary anthelmintic.
