Danish Design FatFace Marching Dogs Collar – Small

The Marching Dogs collar carries a row of cheerful dogs across the face and a contrasting polka dot on the reverse, from Danish Design's FatFace collaboration. It is printed webbing finished with genuine leather trims, and the buckle and D-ring are metal rather than the plastic side-release clip most printed collars use.

The small is 50cm long and 1.5cm wide, and Danish Design list it as fitting a neck of 35–45cm. Measure the dog rather than going by breed: the size bands overlap, and a collar bought a size out is the commonest reason one gets returned.

Performance & Benefits
  • Marching Dogs print on the face, with a contrasting polka dot reverse.
  • Metal buckle and metal D-ring, which Danish Design specify for durability and strength.
  • Genuine leather trims at the points that take the wear.
  • Small size fits a neck of 35–45cm, at 1.5cm wide and 50cm overall.
  • Part of a full range — the matching lead and harness are made in the same print.
<>
Suitable For
  • Small and small-medium dogs measuring 35–45cm round the neck.
  • Everyday wear, with lead attachment through the metal D-ring.
  • Owners who would rather have a metal buckle than a plastic clip.
  • Dogs with a neck over 45cm need the medium (55 x 2 x 1cm, neck 40–50cm) or the large (60 x 2.5 x 1cm, neck 45–55cm).
  • Not the collar for a dog that swims daily or lives in mud — the leather trims will not take repeated soaking.
<>
How to Use
  • Measure round the dog's neck with a tape and choose on that measurement, not on the breed.
  • Fasten so that two fingers slide comfortably between the collar and the neck.
  • Danish Design's care instruction is simply to wipe clean as necessary.
  • Do not machine wash or soak it; the leather trims will stiffen and crack.
  • Re-check and adjust the fit as a growing dog changes shape.

Care & Caution
  • Check the fit regularly, and more often on a young dog. Two fingers between collar and neck is the test; a collar that has gone tight is a real problem, not a cosmetic one.
  • Check the stitching, the buckle and the D-ring before each walk, and stop using the collar if any of them has given.
  • Do not soak the collar or put it through a washing machine — the leather trims are not made for it.
  • A flat collar can catch on crate bars, fencing and branches. Take it off a dog left alone in a crate or a run.
