Danish Design FatFace Marching Dogs Lead

The Marching Dogs lead matches the collar of the same name — cheerful dogs on the face, polka dots on the reverse — and is put together the same way, with genuine leather trims and a metal hook rather than a plastic clip.

Danish Design make it in three widths, all 120cm long: 1.5cm, 2cm and 2.5cm. Width is the only thing that changes between them. A wider lead is kinder on the hand with a strong dog; a narrower one is lighter for a small one and sits better on a slim collar.

Care & Caution

• Check the hook, the stitching and the leather trims before each walk. A lead that lets go at the kerb is the one failure that really matters.
• Do not soak or machine wash it — the leather trims are not made for it and will crack.
• Replace the lead rather than repairing it once the webbing has frayed or the hook spring has gone soft.
• Never leave it clipped to a dog you are not with; a trailing lead catches on fences, gates and furniture.
