Dengie Alfa-Beet – 20kg

A high-fibre conditioning feed combining alfalfa with unmolassed sugar beet pulp, giving slow-release energy from highly digestible fibre. It supports weight gain, muscle development and condition without the excitable behaviour that a cereal conditioning feed can produce.

It contains around a quarter of the sugar found in molassed sugar beet, which is what makes it usable for horses prone to laminitis. Because it soaks into a soft, palatable mash it is a natural choice for veterans and horses with dental problems, and the soaked feed carries a good deal of water — useful for encouraging fluid intake in warm weather or after hard work.
