Dengie Hi-Fi Original Horse Feed 20kg - Nutrient-Rich High-Fibre Feed for Healthy Horses
Dengie Hi-Fi Original – 20kg
A high-fibre, low-calorie maintenance feed for leisure horses and ponies, giving around 8 MJ/kg for a steady, calm energy supply. Its most useful property is that 1kg of Hi-Fi Original equates nutritionally to 1kg of hay, so it can replace part or all of a daily forage ration on a straight weight-for-weight basis.
That matters when hay is short, expensive or of poor quality — and unlike hay or haylage, the nutrient content is consistent between batches rather than varying with the season. The short chop takes a similar time to eat as hay, encouraging natural chewing and browsing behaviour that helps reduce boredom in a stabled horse. The alfalfa is dried at very high temperatures, which reduces mould and dust.
