Dodson & Horrell Mobility – 1kg

Mobility is Dodson & Horrell’s dried herb blend for muscles and joints, built on five ingredients: dandelion, nettle, celery seed, burdock root and devil’s claw root. It is the blended alternative to feeding devil’s claw on its own, with four supporting herbs around it rather than a single active.

Most owners reach for it on a veteran who is stiff out of the stable in the morning, or on a horse whose working life has left its mark. The devil’s claw inclusion is the thing to plan around if you compete — it brings the same 96-hour withdrawal as the pure root.

<>
Performance & Benefits
  • Dandelion and nettle, fed to support normal cell renewal and joint and bone integrity.
  • Celery seed and burdock root, fed to promote normal joint and muscular function.
  • Devil’s claw root, long used to encourage joint mobility and ease of movement.
  • Five herbs in one scoop rather than several separate tubs on the feed room shelf.
  • Fed at 2½ to 3 scoops, so a 1kg tub covers around three weeks on a larger horse.
<>
Suitable For
  • Veteran horses and ponies showing general stiffness.
  • Horses whose joints have had a hard working life behind them.
  • Owners who want the supporting herbs as well as the devil’s claw.
  • Not for mares in foal, and not for a horse inside its competition withdrawal — nor for a horse that must avoid devil’s claw altogether, since every scoop contains it.
<>
Feeding
  • Ponies and smaller horses: 2½ scoops per day, about 42.5g.
  • Larger horses: 3 scoops per day, 51g.
  • One 100ml scoop weighs 17g. Use the scoop supplied.
  • Mix into the daily feed and feed continuously for the effect to build.
  • Do not exceed the stated rate without consulting Dodson & Horrell or your vet.
<>
Composition & Analysis
  • Composition: dandelion, nettle, celery seed, burdock root, devil’s claw root.
  • Analytical constituents: crude protein 17.5%, crude oils and fats 5.5%, crude fibre 19.0%, crude ash 12.0%, sodium 0.2%.
  • Supplied as a dried blend in a 1kg tub with a 100ml scoop.
  • Comfrey leaf appears in the ingredient list on some retail listings for this blend. Dodson & Horrell do not list it among the five herbs above, and it is not stated here.
<>
Care & Caution
  • Contains devil’s claw. Fed at the stated rate, withdraw a minimum of 4 days — 96 hours — before a race or competition.
  • Do not feed to mares in foal.
  • Devil’s claw is not recommended for horses with gastric ulcers, and should not be combined with anti-inflammatory medication without veterinary advice.
  • This is a feed supplement, not pain relief. A lame or acutely sore horse needs a vet.
