Staypower Cubes are built for the horse that has to keep going rather than go fast — eventing, endurance, long days hunting. The energy comes out of ricebran, beet pulp, grass meal and linseed rather than oats, which is what gives the feed its controlled release and its reputation for not putting a fizz on a horse in hard work.

They are a cube rather than a mix, so nothing gets picked out of the bucket, and electrolytes are already in the formula to cover the routine losses of daily training. At 11.8 MJ/kg this is genuinely a performance feed, not a maintenance cube in a smarter bag.

Feeding

• Feed 400g to 1kg per 100kg bodyweight per day — 2 to 5kg for a 500kg horse.
• Do not exceed 1kg per 100kg bodyweight per day in total.
• Divide into at least two to three meals a day.
• Keep forage intake at a minimum of 2kg per 100kg bodyweight per day.
• Introduce gradually over seven to ten days when changing from another feed.
