Equilibrium LiteMunch – 1kg Fibre Block
LiteMunch is the lowest-sugar block in Equilibrium's Munch range: dried lucerne at 99.4% with spearmint at 0.6%, compressed hard into a 1kg block. Equilibrium declare sugar at 6%, against 9.5% for the Vitamunch blocks, and that difference is the whole reason this one exists.
The compression is what makes it last. A horse has to work at the block rather than simply eat it, so 1kg occupies a stabled horse for far longer than 1kg of loose chaff would. Crude fibre is declared at 29% and crude protein at 16%.
<>Performance & Benefits
- Dried lucerne at 99.4%, with spearmint at 0.6% for palatability.
- Sugar declared at 6%, the lowest in the Equilibrium Munch range.
- Crude fibre 29% and crude protein 16%.
- Compressed hard, so even a greedy horse cannot bolt it.
- Equilibrium state Munch can be used as part of the dietary management of horses at risk of, or prone to, laminitis.
- Fits a munch net, a bucket, a manger or simply the stable floor.
Suitable For
- Horses and ponies on a controlled-sugar diet.
- Stabled horses and horses on box rest that need something to do.
- Travelling and competing, as a compact alternative to a haynet.
- Eager feeders that need slowing down.
- Not for a horse with poor teeth unless the block is well soaked first — Equilibrium say so explicitly.
Feeding
- Feed up to one block per day per 100kg bodyweight — a maximum of five blocks daily for a 500kg horse.
- Feed whole, from the ground, a bucket, a manger or a munch net.
- Soak the block to soften it if the horse struggles to bite in.
- Provide clean, fresh water alongside.
- Equilibrium state an opened block keeps for up to a week.
Composition & Analysis

Care & Caution

- Lucerne is a calcium-rich forage. If you feed several blocks a day alongside a lucerne-based hard feed, get the whole ration looked at.
- Make soaked blocks up fresh and do not leave them standing in warm weather.
