Airways Xtra Strength is Equine America's essential-oil respiratory powder: eucalyptus, peppermint and menthol carried on an alfalfa meal and linseed oil base, so the aromatics reach the horse in the feed bowl rather than as a steam or a spray. One 14g scoop a day is the full rate for a 500kg horse, and the tub holds a month of it.

It is aimed at the everyday respiratory load a stabled horse carries — dust off bedding, spores out of hay, pollen through the summer — rather than at any diagnosed condition. The blend is deliberately narrow: three aromatic actives and nothing else, which is what separates it from the broader herbal powders such as Coff-Less and Ventilator.

Feeding
